THE 2027 - 2028 SEASON

For 18 years Geodesic Management has been touring family entertainment and educational programming for all ages to Performing Arts Centers, Fairs, Festivals and more across North America. We are pleased to continue that tradition for the 2027 - 2028 season! New shows from The Treehouse Shakers, Literature to Life and The Children’s Theatre of Cincinnati highlight an eclectic mix of Literature, STEM/STEAM, Circus, SLAM Poetry and Dance based performances.

Unleash the power of a book! Literature to Life is pleased to bring back its Living Library title, Zora Folk Tales. Elementary students will learn the art of storytelling from celebrated author and anthropologist, Zora Neale Hurston. The performance follows several of the folk tales featured in Zora’s various compilations, and allows the students to choose what happens next in the action. Through lively audience participation, humor, and classic folk tales, students discover how stories help us understand ourselves, our communities, and the wider world.

The Treehouse Shakers present Mary Cassatt and Me An original play for ages 4-10. Composed of a diverse ensemble of four, the story follows Lucy, a young girl who makes friends with her upstairs neighbor, a retired art teacher, who often shares his knowledge about the many impressionist painters, particularly the American artist Cassatt. Told through theater, dance and puppetry, as well as projected and interactive videos in which the performers use the images as scenery, color washes, and climactic moments within the performance. Lucy takes audiences on a vibrant & visual journey through colors, shadows and light, as well as the paintings of Cassatt and her contemporaries.

A slate of shows will tour from The Children’s Theatre of Cincinnati including two that are perfect for the holiday season! Bah Humbug! A One Man Christmas Carol is the season’s most entertaining & unique holiday offering. All characters in this production are performed by ONE PERSON – from Scrooge to Tiny Tim! In The Day Before Christmas a cold hearted Jack Frost decides to freeze all Christmas festivities, causing chaos and calamity. Will everyone at the North Pole (and in the audience) help to save The Day Before Christmas, or will Christmas be forever brrrr-oken? Also from TCT - watch as Dr. King tells the story of his life, from his childhood in the Deep South all the way to the steps of the Lincoln Memorial, where he delivered his famous “I Have a Dream” speech in Martin's Dream.Goldilocks Rocks! combines funny characters, music, movement, and even audience participation to amplify the world of Goldilocks as she mic-drops in on a little band of bears.

Minneapolis based Shapeshift Dance will tour Be Your Own Superhero Illuminating the journey of 8 friends discovering what it takes to be heroes in their own community. Against the backdrop of a vibrant city, these close-knit friends encounter challenges that lead them to learn empowering lessons of empathy, hard work, caring for the earth, and knowing what it means to help our neighbors. Set in the classroom and led by their beloved teacher Mr. G, they share their story in becoming their own Superhero!
